Firstly, let me introduce myself. I’m Kathryn, co-founder of Eastern Osteopathy. I am a leader in the field of Osteopathy, pregnancy and pelvic health in Australia, a mother, a professional mentor, an educator and co-founder of the Osteopathic Pelvic Health Institute of Australia, an Allied Health Education Institution. I have had the privilege of attracting like minded osteopaths to work with me, osteopaths who share my passion in the field of Pelvic Health and pregnancy; osteopaths who have exceptional osteopathic skills, who truly listen and care about the outcomes of their patients and who work together with their patients to help them achieve their health goals. After helping the local community for over a decade as a general osteopathic clinic, we have become Australia's largest Pelvic Health clinic owned and operated by Osteopaths, it seemed only fitting to slightly change our name from Eastern Osteopathy, to Eastern Osteopathy, the Pelvic Place Melbourne. We will continue to help the entire family when it comes to osteopathic care, but this new name also reflects the incredible reputation the clinic has in the field of pelvic health, pregnancy and persistent pelvic pain.

Eastern Osteopathy was founded in 2013, when my sister Liz returned from New Zealand. From the beginning our aim was to create a clinic that welcomed the entire family, from newborns and pregnant people, tradies and elite athletes to the elderly. We wanted to provide a safe place to allow healing to occur. We knew that our strengths lay in taking the time to listen carefully to our patients to discover and treat the true cause of their concerns and then be able to create unique treatment plans to address their specific needs and circumstances. In 2020, sadly Liz and her family moved away. In 2023 Nicole Cuikerman joined the team as a junior partner of the clinic.

In helping our patients, we aim to have a positive impact on their lives. We believe helping them creates a ripple effect, whereby it doesn’t just impact one physical body, but a family and a community. This concept is the inspiration behind our logo, the idea that helping one person has a far greater impact than that person alone.
